I don't remember rules right now. Maybe:

5 points for getting both sides scores right
3 points for getting the winner right
1 point for getting either sides scores right

Double points after the group stage. The post with the bets is not to be edited. If you need to edit it, post your bets again. Did we have any other rules?

If a match goes over time then the game time score is used, or in other words draws are possible in EVERY match.

Argentina needs to practice more teamplay and Peru has much talent on the attack side but they can't hit the goal! None of the South American teams seem to take defense seriously. Iceland on the other hand...

Denmark didn't impress in anything other than looking pretty pro overall. I think they have a good change of getting past the group stage.

Serbia was pretty good, maybe somewhat more creative than Denmark. Costa Rica had nothing, seems like a fill up team. I think I may have mixed them up with Colombia.

I think Mexico's 1-pass plays/counter attacks are quite dangerous but once inside the 9(?) meter box they freeze. Definitely a solid mid-tier team. Germany on the other hand was just a disorganised mess but I expect them to up their game. It's either that or they're out.

Brazil didn't have any kind of spark and I'm not sure was it even down to Switzerland. I mean I can't really say that Switzerland only defended, although their attack was very cautious.

Oh noes, Sweden doesn't have Zlatan! And many others left the team two years ago. As a matter of fact they've only scored twice in their last seven matches. Three against South Korea? Sure! While South Korea seems kinda nameless, they have two guys playing in the English Premiere League.

Sweden got a "penalty kick win", but I think they deserved the win as well. The ninjas had the penalty kick coming.

Considering the massive difference between Belgium and Panama I think Belgium didn't do as well as they should had. For the most part it was a dominant performance, perhaps the strongest so far, but Panama is also kind of crap.

I think England had a good first half but I don't know what changed for the second half, because it looked a bit like their game fell apart and they were just forcing it. They still delivered plenty of good goal scoring chances and I think England may have some potential this time. I also think Tunisia also did quite alright, and I'm excited to see Belgium - Tunisia game.

Portugal has always been a very strong and creative team, maybe lacking some perseverance but I expect them to do well again, as long as Ronaldo isn't distracted by the kids.

Uruguay against Saudi-Arabia hmm... on paper Uruguay is much stronger but I'm not expecting a goal fest somehow.

Spain is the favourite of course, but I'm sure they will be preoccupied by the Catalan independence vs Spanish government quarrel or worry about topless bathing so maybe not as many goals as against Portugal.

Sweet job Japan! Missed the match almost entirely :|

Senegal definitely takes Ghana's spot as my African team. I especially liked the way when even just two guys gets away, they would always carrie out the attack through. Just the two of them. That's a massive difference to pretty much every other team, that will every now and then end up passing the ball all the way back to their own goalie from within the enemy penalty box, because reasons. Not Senegal. And oh boy, what an alpha coach they got!

I guess Russia deserved the win, but not by such a margin. Three goals inside a few minutes and the match was over. Then again they've scored 8 goals in 2 matches and are the first to secure a place in the top 16.

I didn't see the first game but it was probably horrible. Meracco has one game left but with this score they are out regardless of the outcome.

Uruguay and KSA was comical. When KSA got the ball, Uruguay would just sit on their arses, and KSA did the same. Not that Uruguay did much else when they got the ball, I mean other than dive. Cassani or whatever - crybaby of the year! Incredibly stagnant play from both sides. KSA is out as well.

Iran defended the first half with the full 10 and Spain couldn't find a way in. It was probably the most boring 45 mins of football I've ever seen. Luckily second half got interesting after Spain got that goal. If only Iran had played like that from the beginning... I think Iran is out as well.

Denmark is a solid team but maybe a bit too German-like (and hey, didn't Germany play really really crap in their first match?). They breed 'em tough in Australia but that doesn't necessarily mean they're good football players so hey, let's go for 1 - 1. Even more reason because iWizard didn't dare to go for a 1 - 1 prediction.

France, Peru... hmm! Strong teams but France probably has a small advantage. Difficult one to predict.

Will it be hot in Nizhny Novgorod tomorrow? Ah who cares, both Argentina and Croatia will be able to handle the heat. If it's cold, they'll both freeze and no-one will score! Let's go for a lame 1 - 1 here, too.

With Iceland's solid defense I'm not expecting any goals from Nigeria. But how well will Iceland attack? Probably boring and efficient but without too much creativity, so I'm not going for hundreds of goals.

Serbia wasn't too bad in their first match against Costa Rica? And I'm sure they want to prove to be statue worthy! They might confuse Switzerland with their tiny statue heads.

As the Dutch ("Dtuch"), we must support Belgium in their quest for eternal football fame. 3 - 0 against Panama, so a 2 - 0 against Tunisia must be doable?

No Guus Hiddink coaching South Korea this time and Mexico won against Germany (!!!). They're on a roll and with Trump doing even more bat crazy stuff they must feel mentally superior.

Germany and Sweden are bound to play standard, boring, defense oriented football. Sweden will still be drunk having celebrated midsomer but that might also sprout some hidden creativity. Ugh, I dunno, going for a draw here.

I don't think there's going to be draws today. Maybe Belgium and Tunisia is going to be the closest match, but that's because they both have done good so far. Albeit Tunisia lost their first match and can't lose this one. Would they do heavy defense?

I'm expecting Germany to level up and demolish Sweden, but Sweden will still get a lucky goal because they're Sweden. Then again Germany is in the same position as Tunisia and the match goes as Duhr predicts.

Senegal seems to be more 'flexible' than Japan so they should be able to win the match against Japan. Both matches in group H where 1 - 2, so there might be a pattern there!

Brazil still lacking that killer instinct but still got a solid result, so no reason to panic? I didn't see Iceland's game in its entirety, but guess their magic(=luck?) is running out. Serbia - Swiss was a tight one, with both sides creating opportunities. I think. Maybe. Serbos are complete thugs that I remember.

Plenty of success for team England, against possibly the worst team of the tournament. But still, of teams so far I like Belgium and England to be the most complete.

I think Japan deserved to win that one. I had my bet against them but boy was I cheering for them still! They were giving their everything and still being polite. Senegals seemed a bit arrogant to be honest, and lucky. Senegal is still probably the best Africa has to offer for this tournament. Or was that Tunisia?

I didn't see the Poland match but wth. Poland was suppose to have an easy group and they are the first one out?

    Going for the same prediction as Sandman for the Uruguay - (Mother) Russia game. iWizard's 3 - 1 is also quite possible, given the fact that (Mother) Russia is the host and somehow magically they will make it straight through to the finals. ALIENS!

    Okay so, Suadi-Arabia vs. Egypt, both are out. Will they still have some motivation left to play? Judging by their pyramids, Egyptians seem to be able to persevere so they'll probably win.

    Even though there's much at stake, Iran will have to hope for a miracle to advance. As we all know, miracles don't happen and Portugal will have no mercy. Plus, that 10 man defense strategy won't 'work' a second time.

    Spain - M(o|e)rocco will be routine play. M(o|e)rocco will be tired and just want to go home so Spain might be able to score more goals against M(o|e)rocco than Iran and Portugal did. Maybe the 3 - 0 is a bit too much though? No.

    France had the upper hand during the first half but Denmark reigned the second half. Both incredibly achieved nothing. Just meaningless passing and the crowd got furious. Sad fact is that they both were fine with a bore 0-0. Ah yes, oh boy do the Danes like to dive!

    Argentina just about made it and for a second in a moment of madness I thought they're not that bad, but the way their game broke after the equaliser just reminded why Argentina is useless. Lackluster Argentina's next opponent is lackluster France, and exciting Croatia gets colourless Denmark.

    Oh yeh! the rescue for me today don't come much closer than that, 90th minute goal by Croatia!
    Argentina, on the other hand, should be playing better than that crap, then again since the 'hand of god' goal by one Diego Maradona that one time, I wish all the worse to them for the future...
    Peru and Australia was a hard one to call for me, as TBH they are both wank,
    France and Denmark were both once pretty good like Argentina, but now share my same thought.. wank!

    Germany should be able to win in the South Korea - Germany match. But with Germany's current form, South Korea might still score a goal. It'll probably be 1-1 for a very long time. Will the Germans settle for a draw or do as the Germans always do: score in the last minute? Perhaps Croatia learned from them.

    What will Mexico do against Sweden, it's a tougher opponent (enemy?) than they've had before. A draw might be reasonable?

    Brazil seems to be stronger than Serbia, but can they pull off more than one goal? Likewise, Switzerland should be able to win against Costa Rica but if you want to see hundreds of goals you should go to this factory.

    By the way, all the predictions now seem to be max 2 goals... how lame (I mean, realistic) is that!

    How do you explain Sweden winning the group and Germany being the last Duhr? I mean what.

    Mexico was pretty clueless against Sweden's defense and it looked almost like they didn't even want to try. Which is the complete opposite of how Brazil went about. They tried long and short balls and it worked varyingly, but that's how it should be. Take a risk boys! I'm just so sick and tired of returning the ball to the goalkeeper.

    Sad to see Serbia go because I think they were pretty good as well as entertaining, apart from this match. I'd rate them over both Mexico and Sweden, but then again, these bets don't seem to be going very well either.

    I think you're on to something Duhr. It seems like predicting goals isn't a good tactic.

    Senegal was leading the group and now they're out - why? It's not like Colombia suddenly started playing well, but because Senegal had decided to sit on its ass and hope for the best. Great tactic but I will miss the hair.

    England - Belgium was probably the most anticipated match for me, and surprisingly enough turned out to be a complete utter let down. Both played with their "b-teams" because there wasn't much reason to play properly. Awesome system. Winner got Japan as their first opponent in the knockout stage but otherwise probably a bit harder road.

    Wasn't overly impressed with Spain but they should be able to defeat Russia: a bit on par with Portugal, but those lost from Uruguay... Uruguay scored 3 - 0 against Russia. Famous last words?

    Doubting between a 1 - 1 (again) or a 2 - 1 win for Croatia. Let's not make the same mistake as yesterday and actually predict a win for the team that impressed the most.
