I guess there is no actual iOS version of Div3 available yet?
After getting used to Unity I'm probably too much into 3D to really get back into DIV, but if there will ever be a way to have it (the games, not
necessarily the editor) run on iPad I would seriously consider using it for more simple 2D games!

DIV *will* be 3D, just not yet (proper 3D - not mode 8)
and yes, there will be IOS versions
Saying that, the javascript builds should run on IOS and I plan to improve those further with better on screen controls.

I have an ipad here, and the results on that are not great. iPad seems to require some different html options to get the best results from the
javascript builds.
The native build should work fine, but until DIV gets off the ground I can't really afford to get back on the developer programme to publish an
official build (and no saying apple will even approve a game making tool) so it might have to be homebrew / jailbroken port at first.
