Exporting game

Hy! I must say this DIV Game Studio is very cool and I'm excited to play with it. However how do I submit my game when its finished to the website so I can convert it to osx or html/js or whatever. Also, if I do turn it into the website is there an option to make it unplayable? You never know I might want to sell my games as an indie dev. Thank you in advance for a response this is very important for me to know.

Oh ok I already found another forum post that answers my question:
http://div-arena.co.uk/forum2/viewthread.php?tid=150#pid1357

As long as the admin will delete the code that I gave him which he would convert it into a .exe file I am good. If I make a game using this tool that is really that good I might sell it.

So I guess my issue is solved...

At some point the cloud based compiler will be up and running but until then it's a manual process.

We don't need any source files to create anything.

Maybe by the time you've created a game we'll be ready to multi platform publish.

Also welcome aboard

Hy thanks for the reply! So if I don't give you the game code then how would I able to create a .exe file for windows? Sorry but can you clarify more on the manual process?

EDIT: how would I make a tile map in my game like for a platformer also. Do I simply code it from scratch while coding the game?

The windows versions can already make a zip for windows.

The way the multi build works is by taking the compiled doscode and translating it for each platform.

For now, you can use the windows builds to create a windows zip and the linux builds create a linux binary blob

Hope that helps

Ok I will try making a zip, I click on the program installation tab right? and also I edited my post did you see that? sorry for asking a lot of questions I just want to know how to utilize tile maps for a platformer game for example. I mean Div for windows is capable of making tile maps right?

EDIT: Ok I created the .exe for a project Example so is that all I need if I was to share my example game with someone? I don't need any extra dll's or something? Just dont forget about my tile map question:smilegrin:

Yes the create install option from the prg menu will do that

For the tilemaps, div can certainly do this but probably best to ask the question in a different post. I'll try to find an example but I'm sure others can help you as it's been done many times
