Ludum Dare 35 – April 15th-18th Weekend!

edit: I checked the site for some facts. To confuse you I've formatted new stuff bold and incorrect stuff red. No need to thank me. I've also registered on the site.

Yeah, it's coming again and it's quite exactly but not exactly exactly 6 (4) weeks away from this day. As long as the rules haven't changed awfully much, the point is to make a game over a weekend i.e. even employed people can join in! There will be a theme for the game but otherwise you're free to do your worst -- was there some sort of voting on theme also? There is!

The main competition is do-it-all-by-yourself in 48 hours and then there's a no prize beginner category where you can optionally gang up and have additional 24 hours to finish. I'm pretty sure the main prize is glory and then some sweets or something along those lines. FYI I'm thinking joining solo, so there will be more produce i.e. content.

So, anyone up for a fun weekend? I know many (some) of you have already participated in this thing at some point like any decent self respecting game developer should have, but I'm not like that, so I haven't. And obviously the point is to use the new DIV eventhough nobody has used it in around 10 years. Surely it'll all come back flooding when you'll just get on with it! Obviously you can use whatever you want but do use DIV. Or else.

I hear uncle Mike is joining in and Dave if he survives the heart balloon thing operation and the new op. Thumbs up for Dave!

This site looks great, good job Mike! My only problem is that the font is magnificently difficult to read.

That is indeed the exact plan.

I'm actually a bit curious how have you come to know it so well??? This is suppose to be a top classified secret that nobody knows no nothing about, yet it's as if you yourself have masterminded it D:

This is next weekend folks. Do we have some sort of plan? Are we all working seperately or doing some sort of team effort (or both?)

It's a wooden baseball bat!!! Or was it aluminium. The 1:1 hair and braking windows gives you away a bit easy. Altho, the window isn't too visible on this laptop's rubbish screen.

I'm not sure will username Raverdave approve of his depiction, but as he's taking naps all day long every day I'm probably going to get away with it.

I don't know why people think that I'm going to be helping on this given that I haven't even got a working build of DivDX or anything I could use that's even remotely similar to it at present :p

Yes, with the long flowing hair and waif like body. You were the first <3

You have to now, right?

:)

The explanation of a broken computer was better! There's also Htbaa with the camera, Square lurking (no girlfriend with a sausage pan behind him  ) and Zosma with the motorcycle - but they probably won't participate either. This time around. It's just an excercise in pixels.

Yeah, but you need new goggles mate! He's so obviously lionkinging his heart. Ripped out of his chest in a manly fashion.
