We do have an alpha 32bit ide and i have a very broken 2d/32bit dll

So we aren't that far away

How far has this been set back now mode8 has been added back in? Willing to bet at least a little, mode8 can be a buggy ol' [Censored]... but I've already got a game idea that I'd love to try once CyberCrisis is done :)

We've already fixed loads of mode8 bugs so who knows.

Ahh really? So this is better than mode8, none of those random crashes because DIV decides that it just doesn't like the look of certain sectors :')

Mode8 was buggy as hell and still is in places but with any luck we can remove those crashes and replace with voids or something more sensible.
